One thing I want to tell you about baked potato pots is that if you are planning on using ferric chloride, PLEASE do your research! It's nasty, toxic stuff. Make sure you are taking all of the proper precautions, especially while it is firing. Plus, don't fire it in an electric kiln... it will ruin it. I fire these anywhere between 1100-1350 depending on the results and colors I want to achieve. The firing typically takes about 30 minutes. The heat affects what the surface will look like. That also means that the thickness of your pots will affect the firing as well. the thicker the pot, the longer it will take to heat, so even if you fire the kiln to a specific temp, the pot won't get to that temp with such a fast firing.
No probelm, I'm really digging on your vases. I'm currently doing a large vessel that I'm wanting to try the "baked potato" pot. I was wondering what cone you took it to when it was wrapped?
And I need you to recognize my friends 'Cause theyre there even though You dont see them They got their own chair, plate, and a seat You know I wont touch my food Unless they eat
